Salman Khan in Atul Agnihotri’s next project ‘BHARAT’ – an adaptation of a Korean movie
It’s now official! An adaptation of a Korean film, which commences during the year 1947 and finishes during 2000 is being made under the banner of Atul Agnihotri and directed by Ali Abbas Zafar.
The flick will feature talent package i.e. Salman Khan.
Adding dates into Sallu Bhai’s jam-packed schedule is a phenomenal job for any film maker. However when pals and family members make a decision to turn the ship, the mega star tries to make time.
According to a report, “The film is an official adaptation of the 2014 South Korean drama, Ode To My Father that depicted contemporary Korean history from the 1950s to the present day through the life of an ordinary man and events such as the Hungnam Evacuation during the 1950 Korean War, the administration’s verdict to dispatch nurses and miners to West Germany in the ’60s and the Vietnam battle.”
While talking to media people, Atul Agnihotri stated: “That movie is just the opening point for ours but since it was an motivation, we wanted in all justice to authoritatively own it and obtained the remake rights before happening with Bharat. It starts in the year 1947 and ends in 2000 and is the voyage of a nation and also a human being, both of whom go by the name of Bharat.”
The movie will hit theaters by April next year.
Agnihotri recalls a chat with the actor and stated: “He noticed that a surveyor doesn’t give marks for writing, he gives scores for content, and if you can discover the content, it ups the odds of getting things right. That’s how it all started and now with Ali on board, the prep is on in full swing.”
“I feel I contribute better as a producer. Ali is a friend, I love his work and eventually, it’s all about connecting with the source. If you speak to him, you will realise that Ali is far more passionate about the material. We will be shooting in Abu Dhabi and Spain, besides Punjab and Delhi. Prep in every department will be elaborate and is happening even as we speak.
This flick would be their third movie together after Hello (in the year 2008) and Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha (in the year 2004). In addition, Agnihotri has made blockbusters like Bodyguard (in the year 2011) and Jai Ho (in the year 2014).
